Two men accused of being involved with shooting a policeman have had their cases dropped.
Demar Provan, 21, from West Norwood and Adewale Ogunsanya, 22, of Streatham, were arrested in July after PC Wayne Stevens was shot while on patrol in Kingsdown Road.
They were charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition.
They were due to have their cases heard on Friday at Croydon Crown Court but the Crown Prosecution has decided to cease the proceedings.
Meanwhile a third man charged in relation to the incident, Damian Devine, of no fixed address, has had his case adjourned.
The 26-year-old appeared via videolink from Wandsworth Prison on Friday at Croydon Crown Court.
He was due to plea to charges of possession of a firearm and using a firearm with intent to resist arrest.
But his case was adjourned for 14 days while the defence sought reports for his bail application.
